Fabian Rodriguez

Fabian is a proud American from the Chicagoland area. A region with a long tradition in finance, commodities trading and industrial heritage. His professional experience in Asia spans almost a decade. Following the generation-shaping lockdown years, he joined BitcoinVN, Vietnam’s premier Bitcoin exchange service provider, as BTM Department Manager, overseeing what was then Vietnam’s largest Bitcoin ATM network.

Fabian gained experience with the network’s original Bitaccess machines, first-generation Bitcoin ATMs from the mid-2010s, before leading the transition to a fleet running exclusively on Gustav I. His experience across both generations of hardware helped shape Gustav’s design around the practical needs of operators. Developed entirely in-house by BitcoinVN’s engineering team, Gustav I laid the foundation for the wider Gustav project. Fabian has since played a leading role in developing Gustav II and, as General Manager, oversees operational strategy and execution, manages partnerships and represents Gustav in its public and industry engagements.

Outside work, Fabian is known among his friends as a discerning coffee connoisseur. His appreciation for a good cup reflects his Colombian heritage and may also help explain his fondness for spending time in Vietnam - the world’s second-largest coffee exporter, with a vibrant coffee culture of its own.
