Open Source

Open source is part of the foundation Gustav builds on. It reflects our belief in engineering that can be understood, verified and collaboratively improved over time.

We value the freedom to use, study, modify and redistribute software. These freedoms allow people to inspect how systems work, adapt them to their needs and share improvements with others - preserving independence and carrying shared knowledge forward.

Our support for open source follows the same principle that guides our physical products: build things that last. We respect the developers, maintainers and contributors whose work makes this possible, and believe that companies building on shared foundations should help sustain them.

We are committed to giving back to open source through grants, code contributions and other forms of support. Gustav Global is still a modest operation, and the scale of our contributions necessarily reflects our current resources. As we grow, we aim to expand that support in the years ahead.
