Introduction
The Gustav Emblem
Gustav Global is the result of several years of dedication and perseverance by our core team members. Years of hard work in the physical world, with countless nights spent sleeping “on the factory floor” (in truth: a plain mattress on our office floor), next to the machines as they whirred, buzzed, and hummed.
Tinkering with thousands of little details. The wiring, the screws, every single line of code. The whole package.
The sacrifices required to bring a product like no other to life have been driven by an overarching sense of duty to quality - and the weight of the name we gave the project: Gustav. A name tied to the storied House of Vasa. Though not all of us are of Swedish origin, we share a deep respect for the name and the achievements and mythology it evokes - and a sense of duty to live up to that legacy.
Gustav I laid the foundations of modern Sweden. His grandson, Gustav II Adolf, built on that inheritance and led Sweden’s rise as a European great power. Our product names follow that same progression: Gustav I established our independent technological foundation. Gustav II builds on it - with refined engineering and the ambition to take what we have built into new markets.
Our logo reflects this heritage. The blue and gold shield represents security in the systems we build - the foundation of longevity in this space. At its centre, the wheat sheaf draws on the dynasty’s emblem, symbolising abundance, harvest, prosperity, and sustenance.
Its 21 ears of wheat reference Bitcoin’s supply limit of 21 million Bitcoin. For us, the sheaf also reflects our belief in Bitcoin’s deflationary potential: a capped monetary supply alongside a growing abundance of goods and services.
It is our responsibility to carry this heritage forward.
